In Star Wars Outlaws, you will come across the many Amberine rock walls in different areas of the map that seem to be teasing you with their secrets. They are impenetrable, like a stubborn Wookiee on a bad day. Although you can’t find anything about how to break them early on in the game, it’s not that hard to deal with these path blockers. This guide explains how to bring those destructible rock walls crashing down.
How to Destroy Rocks and Walls in Star Wars Outlaws
Actually, you can’t just shoot at these walls with any old blaster and expect them to crumble like a poorly constructed Death Star. You need something with a bit more oomph – and that’s where the Power Module comes into play. This blaster upgrade is the key to destroying these rocks and walls in SWO. It lets you fire an explosive shot, known as the Bolt, which can turn those mossy obstructions into space dust. It’s not only great to clear paths, but it delivers serious damage to enemies in the fights.

How to Get the Star Wars Outlaws Power Module
Well, I hate to break it to you, but it’s not just lying around on some random asteroid. You can’t pick it up from the nearest Jawa swap meet either. The Power Module is a reward tied to your progress in the game’s story.
Here’s how you unlock it:
- Head to Kijimi: Early in the game, you’ll find yourself on Kijimi, involved in a bit of a dramatic and tense situation. Here, you’ll complete the Safecracker questline. This involves some good old-fashioned backstabbing, alliances, and maybe even a moral dilemma or two.
- Complete the ‘Safecracker’ Mission: During this questline, you’ll need to decide whether to help a character named Ank or look for someone else to assist you with your, let’s say, safe endeavors. Whatever you decide, you will enter the next quest Breakout.
- Gunsmith Quest: Once you have completed the above questline, Kay will get a call from ND-5. The droid will summon you back to your ship, the Trailblazer and the new Gunsmith quest will kick off. This objective is very important because you will not only get the blaster modification for Bolt but also opens your way to many weapon upgrades.
- Install the Power Module: Back on your ship, ND-5 will hand you the Power Capacitor, the required item to unlock the Power Module. Go to the workbench, slap that capacitor into your blaster, and you now have the Bolt function.
How to Use the Power Module
With the Power Module locked and loaded, you’re ready to smash rock walls in Star Wars Outlaws. To unleash the destructive power of the Bolt, hold down the Y button (or Triangle for PlayStation). This charges up your blaster and lets you fire the Bolt with more power. Aim at the rock walls, and fire away. Watching those walls shatter into a thousand pieces? Chef’s kiss – pure satisfaction.
When you have the Power Module, those once-annoying walls are no longer obstacles; they’re sources of new adventures and much more. Behind these rocks, you will discover hidden secret areas, valuable crafting materials, and sometimes even side-quest details that can provide extra backstory or sweet loot.
