Looking to make Kay’s blaster even more powerful in Star Wars Outlaws? Then you’ll want to get your hands on the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger—a rare upgrade that boosts your blaster’s damage and turns up the heat in battles. This upgrade part is essential for maxing out the Light Plasma branch, but finding it is no walk in the park. It is available in a cave on Toshara, and getting to it requires some navigation, rock-blasting, and some wind-dodging.

This guide completely walks you through where to find the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger in Star Wars Outlaws.

Where to Find the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger

To upgrade your Blaster, you first need to locate the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger and for that, go to the planet Toshara and head for Typhon’s Rock, which sits in the Lost Steppe area – keep your eyes on the middle of the map. To access this item, you’ll need a tool—your Blaster’s Power Mode, which you pick up during the New Tricks quest. It lets you break through rocks that block your path along your journey.

Once you’ve made it to Typhon’s Rock, you need to reach its top. Start heading east, keep an eye out for a cliff with the flowers around. From here, climb some ledges and make your way to the higher level with grappling. Eventually, you’ll stumble across a broken satellite dish, get past it towards the right, and head into the cave.

Now, this cave has a bit of a problem. And by problem, I mean wind gusts that want to knock you off your feet—literally. You’ll need to take the cover of the walls to avoid getting thrown. When the wind stops, run and drop down below and then use a grapple to get down next.

You need to keep descending the way, using the Power Mode of your Blaster to destroy the rock walls in Star Wars Outlaws in your path. Keep pushing through narrow tunnels and grapple your way down when you see a gap. You’ll eventually find yourself in Flyer Ridge cavern, it’s a middle area of Typhon’s Rock.

Go and climb the ledge two times towards the right, destroy the rock, and go through the small tunnel. The path ahead is full of twists, turns, and more rocks to destroy leading you deep inside the cavern. Use that Ion Mode to smash down rocks and be careful of the wind ahead. You’ll also encounter more wind blasts, so time your jumps and wall climbs carefully or you might end up at the bottom of the cavern.

Soon, you’ll reach an elevator blocked by some rocks. Command your cute little companion, Nix, to hold open the vent while you zap a Power Mode (Ion Blaster) to activate the elevator. This takes you to a higher level, where you’ll find all sorts of goodies alongside the Ancient Hunter Carving Charm, which you’ll need to upgrade. After looting the items, move forward, jump through the gap and you’ll come across a chest on the left with the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger key upgrade part inside—it gives your Blaster the extra oomph you’ve been craving.

Once you’ve got the BT-009S safely in hand, head back to your workbench on the Trailblazer and slap the upgrade onto your blaster. You’ll need 15 Silvian Iron and 6 MG-2 Power Exceeders to finish the job, but what’s a little more scavenging, right? If you’re low on supplies, remember that merchants and friendly syndicates can give you these materials—assuming you’ve kept up a good reputation. You don’t want to be haggling with a bounty on your head.

There you have it, now that you know how to get the BT-009S Fastshot Trigger, you’ll be taking down galactic villains like they’re training droids.
