Once Human is filled with so many deadly creatures that can kick you out of the game if you are prepared well with good enough gear and strategies to smash down these enemies. One such Deviant that you will encounter is the Ravenous Hunter. The battle with this Rift Entity should not be taken lightly as he has a lot up his sleeves to beat you down. This enemy is carrying a strong Gatling gun and also puts up a shield that you’ll have to first destroy to attack the boss. Here’s a detailed guide on where to find Ravenous Hunter and how to kill him without putting yourself in a dire situation.

Once Human Ravenous Hunter Boss Fight

Once Human Revenous Hunter Boss

Before you encounter the Ravenous Hunter, you should be equipped with the best weapons and supplies. I strongly recommend using a powerful weapon such as a sniper rifle, SMG, assault rifle, or even a crossbow as the best choice for this fight. With a good sniper, you can take out the Gatling gun from a long-range shot and then use the AR after removing the protective shield to deal some damage to the boss.

And remember, don’t forget to stock up with good health items. You might not be required to restore your stamina a lot if you know how to deal with such creatures, but it’s always best to have enough supplies such as Food items and health activators in your inventory in case of tough situations, especially crucial for the new players.

How to Defeat Ravenous Hunter Boss in Once Human

To engage in battle with this aggressive Great One, make your way to the Monolith of Greed in Dayton Wetlands. As the in-game description says, Ravenous Hunter is a Rift Entity who has very strong firepower and is a level 10 boss. What you need to do to deal with him is to avoid its attacks and first try to destroy his machine gun.

To deal with the Gatling gun, either snipe your shots on the gun using a good sniper rifle or use a crossbow to throw arrows at the yellow sac on the creature’s head – it’s his weak area where he gets the most damage. The Ravenous Hunter will keep its shield up, so you need patience and determination. Once you’ve destroyed the machine gun, the boss will drop it on the ground; you can pick this weapon or use your assault rifle and SMG to attack him.

After dropping the Gatling gun, the Ravenous Hunter will switch to its next second phase where he holds a big rocket launcher in his hands. In this stage, he’ll whip rockets at you from his arm frequently forcing you to dodge roll; you need to be agile and use the area for protection. Move behind the cover (the best choice is big square-type boxes) and time your movement so you are not caught in his blast radius. Keep attacking the Hunter, dodge rockets, and shoot at the head for maximum damage. When you get the Hunter down to a sliver of health it will move on to its last battle stage.

Once Human Ravenous Hunter Boss Fight- Killing spawners

For now, there will appear two spawners or nests on the right and left next to each arch. Take down these spawners right away by heavily shooting them with the gun so that they do not have the potential to swarm you with backup. After killing the spawners, the boss will come again in the middle of the arena with the machine gun in hand.

Use the same strategy, take cover from his shots, and then attack him to deal as much damage as possible before hiding yourself again. Once he is at the last two sections of his heart, he will again start using powerful rocket attacks so don’t get caught in their AoE. There are barrels placed on the sides, pick and throw them toward the Ravenous Hunter and it will be the end of this creature.

If you defeat the Ravenous Hunter in Once Human, he will drop his powerful Gatling machine gun and you can pick it up to add to your inventory. It can be a valuable weapon in your upcoming fights against the other Great Ones that lurk within Once Human. Once the fight is over, head along your way to not only continue exploring Dayton Wetlands but venture into sectors beyond. Keep your wits about you, but remember – the rest of the Innsmouth Great Ones or Rift Entities are yet to come, and the later combats won’t be as easy as this early-game boss.
