PS5 Pro Can Capture 8K Screenshots, But Might Not Support Every Game

Although there is no more than a single evidence for 8k support but it's possible to take full HD images on the new Sony console.

Sony’s upcoming PS5 Pro is just a few days away from the official launch, and the recent details claim that it can snap 8K screenshots.

But it might not be possible for every game that can even run in 8K yet. Some Brazil gamers have got their early access to the new PlayStation 5 Pro and they are sharing their unboxing details and experience with the console. The only confirmation that Gran Turismo 7 supports 8k in the console came from TCMFGames on X (formerly Twitter) where they also shared a screenshot for that. Nothing says “car lover’s paradise” quite like zooming in on every headlight glint and raindrop in stunning 8K detail.

Maybe Sony has plans to back up future game releases that’ll have more than one lonely title to flex this feature. But what is the real thing here? The players have mixed feelings with some being amazed to know about it and admiring the graphics while many giving putting their thoughts into typing. 8K screenshots are great for anyone who wants to use these high-res images for photo editing or appreciates seeing their gameplay in ultra-clear detail.

So, there you have it — the PS5 Pro might be bringing us into the 8K era from day one, whether we’re ready or not. And honestly, even if we’re not sure how much 8K we’ll use, we have that friend who’ll insist that now they “can never go back.”
