Star Wars Outlaws: Should You Tell Eleera About the Pyke Traitor or Save the Info for Gorak?

Weighing the consequences of aligning with the Crimson Dawn or Pyke Syndicate in Star Wars Outlaws.

By Ali Usama

In Star Wars Outlaws, your choices not only affect the storyline but even the alliances you forge in the galactic underworld. One such crucial decision you have to make is during the early mission, “Underworld,” when meet with the Crimson Dawn’s Eleera and the Pyke Syndicate leader, Gorak. Such choices may not look to have huge consequences but your reputations with different Syndicates depend a lot on them. Here’s everything you need to know about the implications of telling Eleera about the Pyke traitor or keeping the intel for Gorak.

Should you Side with Crimson Dawn or the Pykes in Star Wars Outlaws?

The mission takes place with you infiltrating Gorak’s base on a seemingly easy task to retrieve a data file for broker Danka. However, you will find solid evidence of a Pyke traitor within their ranks. Once you meet Eleera, the Crimson Dawn representative, you can:

  1. Tell Eleera about the Pyke traitor, resulting in a favor and rep boost with the Crimson Dawn.
  2. Save the information for Gorak, to side with the Pyke Syndicate.

This choice decides with which Syndicate you will have a more rep and on friendly terms, you have to choose one as there is no third option here.

What Happens If You Tell Eleera?

By siding with Eleera and sharing the traitor’s identity, you earn reputation points with the Crimson Dawn. This faction rewards your loyalty with the Crimson Reign Coating, a cosmetic for your blaster, and access to restricted areas controlled by this Syndicate. These areas often have valuable loot and side quests, such as unlocking the Mirogana Vault.

Getting into the Crimson Dawn also makes you a trusted ally early in the game, with more opportunities for contracts and missions. However, this decision has little effect on your standing with the Pyke Syndicate, as Gorak remains unaware of the traitor. The trade-off is that you can’t access Pyke-controlled areas unless you try sneaky tricks without alerting them.

What Happens If You Save the Info for Gorak?

Telling the Gorak about the traitor increases your reputation with the Pyke Syndicate. You’ll receive the Imperial Coating for your blaster and a free entry to explore Pyke areas on Toshara. These districts are bigger and have more merchants than Crimson Dawn territories. The prices there are most reasonable for the shop items.

There is another good reason to favor the Pykes, you get a strategic edge in later missions, especially to infiltrate Empire-controlled zones. Maxing out your reputation with the Pykes gives the Imperial Disguise, a unique item that makes your stealth missions easy in Imperial areas. However, you miss out on the early-game benefits of Crimson Dawn’s resources.

Which Choice Is Better?

It depends on your playstyle and what you prefer. If you don’t want to miss early-game rewards and want Kay to have easier access to Crimson Dawn territories, siding with Eleera is a better choice. Her faction’s rewards are more instantly useful for exploration and progression.

But saving the intel for Gorak sets you up for long-term perks with the Pyke Syndicate. Their larger presence on Toshara and far better rewards, like the Imperial Disguise, is the best choice to focus on stealth and resource management.

My Experience and Thoughts

During my playthrough, I decided to tell Eleera. Gorak’s early behavior was enough for me to decide to undercut him, and the Crimson Dawn’s terrain offers you to collect so much valuable loot early in the game which I always love. That said, I could also see a reasonable appeal to choose Gorak, it’s important to complete the upcoming missions deep into Empire territory.

Ultimately, the beauty of Star Wars Outlaws is its flexibility—your choice won’t lock you into a single path, as there are plenty of opportunities to build a reputation with both factions later. It’s just the start of Kay’s journey and the encounter with these Syndicates. There is a whole lot of tale remaining ahead to deal with these factions and many more choices to consider the best. When you have this decision in front, think about what fits your strategy and story preferences. Whichever side you choose, the galaxy awaits your daring exploits.
