CoD Black Ops 6’s Unicorn Fart Execution Leaves Players in Shock

Fans are divided over the colorful execution move.

Call of Duty fans are no strangers to outrageous finishing moves, but Black Ops 6 has taken things very absurdly. The upcoming Refraction Action finishing move, part of the Tracer Pack Brightmare Mastercraft Ultra Skin Bundle, has players left fans speechless – and some can’t decide whether to laugh or cringe.

In this over-the-top execution, players summon a unicorn creature, hoist its tail, and let it use a lethal rainbow fart cloud on an unsuspecting enemy. A clip shared by Call of Duty content creator HeyImAlaix sparked heated discussions among the players, with many wondering if COD has officially crossed into uncharted (and wildly bizarre) territory.

During recent years, the series’ finishing moves have become unconventional and not what they used to be. You might remember the Death Summons finisher from 2019’s Modern Warfare where enemies were stuck in a pentagram and violently twisted in midair. The other case was Vanguard’s Gravity Inversion, which let you launch enemies across the map à la King Kong. But it looks like this unicorn-powered move might be the wildest finisher in franchise history.

The Brightmare bundle itself is just as flamboyant with the rainbow-inspired Painbow Jackal PDW SMG blueprint and the ultra-vivid Brightrider Operator skin. However, only the unicorn move is talk of the show – for better or worse.

As soon as the clip went viral, opinions started pouring in across social media. On Twitter/X, one disgruntled player commented, “This is why I don’t touch modern CoD multiplayer anymore,” while popular COD streamer FaZe Scope quipped, “Mil sim fans just fell to their knees.”

Others couldn’t help but compare this move to Fortnite’s playful, often cartoonish style. “The gasps of a dying empire. Desperately chasing an ounce of what Fortnite has,” tweeted streamer Jon Wkey Rush, summing up the frustrations of those who think COD has strayed too far from its gritty military roots.

Still, not everyone is upset. Some players talked about the irony of these complaints claiming that Call of Duty has always balanced realism with over-the-top fun. After all, this is the same franchise that once had players shooting alien zombies and piloting jetpacks.

While some fans love the chaos, others believe it is a sign of the series losing its identity. As the Brightmare bundle and its unicorn finisher prepare to drop during Season 1 Reloaded, you need to decide if this colorful intense is a refreshment or a step too far into wacky territory.
