Big news might be coming for Call of Duty: Warzone players. A trusted leaker says that Raven Software is planning to bring back some of the most popular weapons from Modern Warfare in the upcoming Season 3 update of Warzone. The possible returning guns include fan favorites Grau 5.56 assault rifle and the HDR sniper rifle.
With CoD: Warzone’s Season 3 expected to launch in March, rumors and leaks are piling up. One of the biggest speculations is the return of Verdansk. Fans have been waiting for this map to make a comeback, and if the leaks are right, it will happen along these iconic weapons.
According to CharlieIntel, a reliable source in the Call of Duty community, the Grau 5.56 and HDR will be added again in Season 3. Another leaker, TheGhostOfHope, also suggests that the CR-56 AMAX and Kilo 141 might return. That’s four guns from Modern Warfare with a chance of a comeback. But as always with leaks, nothing is confirmed yet unless the official statements come from the developers’ side.
The big question is whether these weapons will also be available in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer. As we usually see, Warzone and Call of Duty’s Multiplayer games receive the same weapons stuff, but it’s unclear if that will be the case this time.
CharlieIntel also reported that some content creators have been testing an early version of Verdansk in Warzone. The map is rumored to be close to the original 2020 version but with a few changes. One of the biggest updates is that the Stadium will be open inside, but its roof will stay closed.
Another leaker says Activision is putting major effort into Verdansk’s return. Some think this is why Warzone’s Season 2 update had little to deliver compared to Black Ops 6. Activision claimed they were focusing on gameplay fixes, but now it seems they have been preparing for the big Season 3 update instead.
If these rumors are true, Call of Duty: Warzone could be ready for a huge comeback with a massive update including a lot of amazing game content. Right now, the game is struggling, and many players have been asking for big changes. Bringing back classic weapons and Verdansk can be what the developers think the game requires to bring excitement back to the community. For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement. But if Season 3 is anything like the leaks suggest, Warzone should be a few weeks away to return back to its peak.
