We have gotten our hands on early access to the MW2 campaign and it’s not a fully finished game. During gameplay, we’ve seen that all of Task Force 141 is back together for a new action-packed mission to stop a plot against the USA involving stolen missiles. And guess what, everyone’s favorite commander, Captain Price is back in the lead role. In this post, we will tell you how long is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign so you know how much time it will take to complete the battlefield challenges.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Length
The Modern Warfare 2 campaign has 17 missions you need to complete to finish the game. It will usually take you around 5-6 hours to finish all of these on a ‘Regular’ difficulty level. The single-player campaign in 2019’s Modern Warfare 2 was around 5 hours so it’s not much of a massive departure from the predecessor. That’s par for the course for Call of Duty campaigns but Modern Warfare 2’s replay value makes it worth the time.
You’ll need to put in some serious time and effort to complete objectives like Recon by Fire, Alone, and El Sin Nombre since they’re open-world sandboxes. The tasks in 2022’s MWII are less straightforward compared to the ones in previous campaigns giving more freedom to explore and decide your own strategy.
Furthermore, the campaign is harder than in previous seasons due to the game’s improved AI. A lot of times even on Regular difficulty, I die after just a few bullets, more so with the Hard level. So even if you’re a Call of Duty veteran, you might find that it takes more time than you thought.
Keep in mind that your results may vary depending on if you choose the easy difficulty level or play on Veteran or Hard mode to show off your skills. Once you have completed the campaign on any difficulty level, you will unlock the Realism level. Selecting this option will make the game harder (to Veteran level), reduce your health, and remove your HUD.
