While hunting down every possible collectible in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you will also run into the Lost Pages side activity in some temples, where you need to find two to four such pages. One of the trickiest locations to locate these Lost pages is in Gansenji Temple, on the Izumi Coast. Gansenji is a beautifully designed, atmospheric spot where stealth meets exploration. If this is your first visit to the temple, you’ll likely be here for the ‘Fatherless Monk’ main quest you must first complete, which introduces you to some key NPCs. Our AC Shadows guide explains where to find every Lost Page in Gansenji Temple.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gansenji Temple Location
Gansenji Temple is located in Izumi Settsu, on the southwestern coast, near Sakai Port. The temple is not very big but a detailed complex, with many wooden structures, a central pagoda-like building, and plenty of elevated spots valuable for parkour. The area isn’t a walk in the park, though. Depending on when you visit, you might find Warrior Monks or patrolling Samurai guarding the place. When encounter them, clear your way by killing them when playing as Yasuke, but if your character is Naoe, stealth is the better way to go.
All Gansenji Temple Lost Pages & Locations in AC Shadows
There are two Lost Pages hidden within Gansenji Temple in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. They’re not too difficult to grab, but they do require some careful navigation.
Lost Page #1 – Behind the Rock & Lantern
- Location: North western corner of Gansenji Temple
Head northwest of the temple complex and look for a tall rock next to a roofed well. It is right from the main template entrance. The Lost Page is there on a lantern just behind the rock.
Lost Page #2 – On Top of the Central Building
- Location: On the largest structure in the temple
The second Lost Page is perched on a small wooden platform in the roof’s middle of the largest building in Gansenji. It’s recommended to come with Naoe for this task as you have to use her grappling hook to reach the rooftop. For Yasuke, you’ll need to climb manually using wooden beams or ledges to scale.
After collecting both Lost Pages, you’ll be rewarded with 500 XP and 1 Knowledge Point (key for unlocking upgrades and abilities). Although the rewards are not much, but every bit helps when you’re maxing out your skills.
