To earn the Platinum trophy in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you’ll eventually run into one of the trickier trophies along the way: You Snooze, You Lose. This trophy tasks you to pickpocket a guard while he is affected by a blowdart—a challenge that sounds easy but can be a real headache if you don’t do it right. Worse, you can even miss it, meaning if you don’t complete it at the right time, you will have to restart the game or reload an old save. Our AC Mirage trophy and achievement guide tells everything you need to know about unlocking You Snooze, You Lose.
How to Unlock the You Snooze, You Lose in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Before earning this trophy, you need to get the Blowdart tool. You can unlock it naturally during the Branching Out main quest. Otherwise, buy it by spending Skill Points on the Extra Tool Capacity upgrade (in the Trickster skill tree) and then visiting the Hidden Ones Bureau. Since you can’t get You Snooze, You Lose trophy without the Blowdart, you must have it in your inventory before progressing too far into the game.
With the dart in hand, find a specific guard you can pickpocket to earn this trophy. Unfortunately, most guards in the game cannot be looted, so it puts a restriction on which enemies you can target here.
These are the best places to find a guard with a pickpocketable item:
- Abbasiyah – Gear Chest 4 location: Most reliable places with a guard carrying a key.
- The Bazaar rooftop: One key carrier is available here.
- Harbor Camp: Another location where a guard with a key is stationed.
- Mysterious Shard carriers: Oddly enough, these enemies count for the trophy. So if you have any left to collect, look for them.
- Contract Missions (Like The Trade Delegate or The Bronze Mirror Heist): These missions require you to pickpocket a guard, giving you a guaranteed opportunity to unlock the trophy.
Don’t loot all key-carrying guards before attempting this trophy. If you do, you might find yourself in a situation where there’s nobody left to steal from to earn this achievement.
Once you’ve found your target, approach him quietly. If he is patrolling, wait for him to stop or sit down. Use the Blowdart to put the guard to sleep and make sure to hit him. In case the target is armored, upgrade your Blowdart with the “Cloud Impact” skill to affect the guy with an AoE shot at his feet. The reason is that the guard with armor doesn’t get affected by Blowdart, but hitting his lower body will still put him to sleep.
Further, you can enable the ‘Guaranteed Pickpocket‘ option in the game settings. This feature ensures that every pickpocket attempt is a success without the need for any quick-time event (QTE) sequences. Don’t get mixed up; civilians with keys won’t count for this task. After the guard is down, pickpocket him. Right after you steal the key while he is unconscious, the trophy will unlock in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
