Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Season 8 of Imaginarium Theater

Season 8 brings Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo teams alongside exciting boss battles.

A recent Genshin Impact beta leak has shed light on what is coming in Season 8 of the Imaginarium Theater. Set to launch in February 2025, this event will have players build creative teams following specific rules. If you’ve enjoyed the Spiral Abyss, it’s a fresh twist on high-level gameplay with different team-building restrictions. It doesn’t allow you to freely build your teams as you can in Spiral Abyss but put some limitations.

The Imaginarium Theater first arrived in Version 4.7 and became a fan favorite right away. Every season runs for a month with the rules changing every time to bring something for the fans every time. Due to the latest beta build for Version 5.3, we have come to know which elements, characters, and bosses will be introduced in Season 8.

Genshin Impact Season 8: Key Details

Genshin Impact Ororon Character

According to the Reddit user HomDGCat, your team will need to include Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo characters in Season 8 of Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact. The opening lineup features some well-loved characters: Hu Tao, Venti, Mona, Xingqiu, and Shikanoin Heizou. For mixing up things, the Special Guests roster includes Keqing, Ororon, Yun Jin, and Citlali.

But that’s not all. Prepare for battles against powerful bosses, including the latest world boss Tenebrous Papilla from Version 5.2, the Goldflame Ququsaur Tyrant, and the Perpetual Mechanical Array. There’s even a duo fight with Yseut and Deianeira of Snezhnaya, which promises a real test of your strategy and skills.

If you’ve been enjoying team comps like Mono Pyro or Vaporize builds, this season should be pretty smooth. Characters like Neuvillette and Arlecchino will most likely be in the limelight roaster, and even if you don’t own them, you can borrow them from your true and trusted friends. The inclusion of Anemo characters brings even more variety, allowing hypercarries like Xiao to take the spotlight.

Compared to the Melt-focused challenges of Season 7, Season 8 looks more approachable. Players who struggled to build teams around Melt reactions will find this season simpler to adapt to, thanks to the focus on Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo elements.

The Imaginarium Theater often hints at future banners, and Season 8 might be no exception. With Citlali in the Special Guest lineup, there’s speculation that an Anemo character from Liyue could appear in the second half of Version 5.3. Alternatively, we might see a Venti rerun in Version 5.4. This theory holds weight since Archons like Zhongli and Furina have recently featured in previous patches.

With February just around the corner, it’s a great time to start thinking about your Season 8 teams in Genshin Impact. Be it regarding strategic challenges or to enjoy trying out new combinations, the Imaginarium Theater comes with something for every playstyle. Make sure you’ve leveled up your favorite Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo characters to be ready for action.
