Where to Find Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crabs in Disney Dreamlight Valley
You can only find a Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab by fishing in gold ripples in the water in The Bind – a new area introduced in the Storybook Vale DLC. We have marked the important water spots in the above map image where the crab happens to appear more. If you’re searching for them anywhere else, you’re fishing up the wrong pond.
If you cast your line into any other color (white, blue, or even orange), you’ll end up with some other fish type. If you don’t see any, it means they haven’t spawned yet. The best way to get them to appear is by fishing in other color spots first to clear the area for new ripples to appear.
The location has many water sources, so be sure to explore all around. Look over the other sides by crossing bridges to reach different fishing areas—sometimes, the best gold ripples show up in harder-to-reach areas.
How to Catch Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab
Cast a fishing line into the gold ripple, wait for the outer ring to match up with the inner ring, and then press the specific button to make a catch. You need to complete the minigame four times to reel in the Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab. But if you stay patient and time your button presses right, you’ll have one in no time.
The problem is that the gold color spots are difficult to find and can even consume a lot of minutes until you encounter one. So, when struggle to find these ripples, you can increase your chances by crafting and using fishing baits such as Miracle Fishing Bait or Even More Miraculous Fishing Bait. Once used on the fishing rods, these potions change white ripples into gold ones, increasing your chances of getting Sorcerer Hat Hermit Crab.
