Pokemon SV Charcadet is an adorable and fiery little Pokemon with two different evolution paths depending on the game version you’re playing. In Pokemon Scarlet, Charcadet evolves into Armarouge which is a nice Fire and Fighting type, sporting red armor and wielding a sword. But if you’re a Pokemon Violet player, then you’ll see Charcadet evolution into Ceruledge which is a Fire and Steel type with sleek blue armor and a shield. Both evolutions are super powerful and come with unique abilities and move sets.
If want to know how to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge or Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it’s very cool because its way is almost similar in both versions – here’s how you can do it.
How to Find Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
You can only evolve Charcadet once you locate and get this Pokemon first. There are many areas of Paldea where this Pokemon can be found in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet such as:
- South Province: Area Three, Area Four, Area Five
- East Province: Area One, Area Two, Area Three, Tagtree Thicket
- West Province: Area One, Area Two, Area Three, Asado Desert
Charcadet is a Fire-type Pokemon, so it is weak to Water, Ground, and Rock moves. You can use these types of attacks to lower its HP and then throw a Poke Ball to catch it while also using status moves like Sleep Powder or Thunder Wave.
How to Get the Items for Charcadet Evolution
If you’re playing Pokémon Scarlet, you will need the Auspicious Armor and to get this item, you’ll have to collect 10 Bronzor Fragments. Once you obtain them, head over to Zapapico City. A guy is standing near the fountain by the eastern Pokémon Center – he’s who you’re looking for. Trade those fragments with him, and you’ve got the Armor.
Considering the Bronzor Fragments, you get them by either catching or defeating Bronzor or Bronzong – they’re Psychic and Steel-type Pokemon. You can find them hanging out in various places like South Province (Areas Two, Three, Four, Five, Six), East Province (Area Two), West Province (Areas One and Two), North Province (Area Two, Casseroya Lake, Dalizapa Passage, Glaseado Mountain).
On the flip side, if Pokemon Violet is your game, you’ll need the Malicious Armor. This time, your task is to collect 10 Sinistea Chips. There’s an NPC near the same fountain by the eastern Pokémon Center in Zapapico City whom you’ll want to trade these chips with to get the armor.
And where do you find Sinistea Chips? By catching or defeating Sinistea or Polteageist, the Ghost-type Pokemon. They’re not too hard to find – look in South Province (Area Six), and East Province (Area Three), and also keep an eye on 4-star and 5-star Tera Raid Battles for them.
How to Evolve Charcadet into Armarouge or Ceruledge in Pokemon SV
So, you’ve got your Charcadet and the right evolution item, either the Auspicious Armor for Scarlet or the Malicious Armor for Violet. Now, what’s next?
First, give that special armor to Charcadet and then, you need to level up your Pokemon. There are a few ways to do this: You can battle other Pokémon – the classic way, use Rare Candies if you have them (kind of like a fast-track method), or rely on the Exp. Share to passively gain experience.
When Charcadet levels up while holding its respective armor, it’ll transform into one of its cool evolved forms. In Pokemon Scarlet with the Auspicious Armor, you’ll get Armarouge. It’s a Fire/Psychic type Pokemon decked out in red armor, wielding a sword. It’s not just about looks; Armarouge has impressive Attack and Speed stats. It can learn moves like Flare Blitz, Close Combat, and Sacred Sword. Furthermore, it has the Blaze ability, which boosts Fire-type moves when its HP is low, and the hidden ability Justified, giving it an Attack boost when hit by a Dark-type move.
On the other hand, if you’re in Pokémon Violet and give your Charcadet the Malicious Armor, you will get the Ceruledge! This one is a Fire/Ghost type, sporting blue armor and a shield. It’s kinda like the defensive counterpart to Armarouge, boasting high Defense and Special Defense stats. Ceruledge can learn powerful moves like Flash Cannon, Iron Head, and King’s Shield. It also shares the Blaze ability with Armarouge, and its hidden ability is Sturdy, which is super handy as it prevents being knocked out in one hit.
How to Get the Other Evolution
If you want to get both Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to trade with someone who has the other game’s version. It’s pretty straightforward – either trade your already evolved Pokemon or a Charcadet holding the right evolution item. And if your friends aren’t into Pokemon as much as you are, no worries. You can hop onto the GTS or use Wonder Trade to find a trading partner online as it’s a great way to connect with other trainers around the world.
But why bother getting both? Armarouge and Ceruledge are not just cool to look at; they’re very valuable in the game. They’ve got different strengths and weaknesses, so it depends on your playstyle. Maybe you want a Pokemon with high attack power like Armarouge, or perhaps you prefer the defensive prowess of Ceruledge. Or, why not have the best of both worlds? Get both and enjoy their unique abilities and moves.
No matter what you choose, you’re going to end up with a loyal and powerful Pokémon buddy by your side.
