How to Farm Vanadium Crystals in Once Human

You have to do some exploration to get enough of these crystals.

Vanadium Crystals in Once Human are one of the important materials that you’ll regularly need to upgrade gear and push through tough zones. But these are not the resources you can mine out of a rock or craft at your base. To get these Crystals, you have to dive into settlements, open chests, and often kill bosses for a steady supply. Here are the best ways to farm these Once Human Vanadium Crystals to fulfil your crafting or upgrade demands.

How to Get Vanadium Crystals in Once Human

Once Human Vanadium Crystals Farming

Unlike basic crafting resources, Vanadium Crystals can be found in specific areas and loot containers. You’ll mostly find them in the Iron River region, a mid-game zone where settlements and high-level enemies start putting serious pressure on your survival. The places where you find them are between the level 21 to level 30 areas. When you hover over a settlement on the Iron River map, you’ll see Vanadium Crystals among the potential rewards you can obtain there.

Loot Settlements and Gear Chests

The most reliable way to farm Vanadium Crystals in Once Human is by raiding Weapon and Gear Chests inside settlements. Normal crates can drop them too, but Weapon/Gear chests have the highest chance of giving multiple crystals.

Crates refresh roughly every 2–4 hours (except Mystical Crates, which are one-time), so mark chest locations on your map and rotate between settlements once the timers are up. It’s even better to come with a squad, one of you tanks enemies while the others loot or, if you’re low on ammo, speed-loot and bounce.

Boss Drops

Higher-level bosses, mainly the Wanderer in Iron River, also drop Vanadium Crystals. They’re not guaranteed every time, but if luck favors, you can get more than a chest would give you. The fights aren’t easy expect to chew through ammo, meds, and repair kits, but they’re worth it if you’re farming in groups or want a break from chest-running.

Endless Dream Farm

Once you unlock the Endless Dream mode, farming gets easier. Vanadium Crystals here can be gathered by collecting Dreamweaver Fruits—glowing resources that convert into crystals. This is usually faster than settlement grinding, though it depends on your access and how well you handle the dream’s hard enemies.

Vanadium Crystals aren’t only a “nice to have” thing in the game. They’re used to upgrade and calibrate your weapons and armor, pushing your gear to the next tier to increase survival rate in difficult, high-level late regions. Without them, you’ll hit a wall where enemies outscale your equipment.
