Fortnite always remains busy cooking up new ways to refresh the game to keep its massive loyal fanbase engaged, and one item that’s both wild and weirdly useful is the Rocket Ram. It’s a high-powered mobility item that can launch you into the air across the map and deal explosive damage when timed right. Rocket Ram was first added in 2023 during Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 4, and it’s still something valuable you might not want to miss. To get your hands on it, this guide explains where to find it and how to use it properly on the battleground.
Where to Find the Rocket Ram in Fortnite

You can buy the Rocket Ram in Fortnite at the Boom Hole Black Market. This shop is located inside a mountain between Crime City and Shiny Shafts. Make your way to the northeast part of the market and interact with the stand to purchase it. Rocket Ram will cost you 300 gold bars, and they usually stock three of them at a time.
How to Use the Rocket Ram in Fortnite
There’s no better feeling in Fortnite than riding across the map like a wrecking ball and crashing down on unsuspecting enemies. That’s what the Rocket Ram brings to the table, and once you learn it, this rocket launcher is a power source.
The Rocket Ram is a hybrid between a movement tool and a short-range explosive weapon. When you equip it, all you have to do is hold the fire/attack button to charge up and then release to launch yourself in the aimed direction. If you ride it right and land with enough force, it will trigger a shockwave that will destroy builds and deal around 50 damage to players in its landing zone.
The key is how you aim. For mobility, keep your angle low and direct as it’ll send you flying in a straight path with minimal hang time. But to go full offense and destroy structures or opponents, aim a bit higher. The extra air time allows you to come crashing down from above and trigger an explosive impact on landing. It helps to bust through boxed-up players or break through reinforced cover.
Though there’s a little end lag after land. You’ll have a brief window where you can’t shoot or build immediately, which can leave you vulnerable to enemy attacks. So as soon as you drop to the ground, instantly switch to a weapon or start building to remove the animation and avoid getting caught flat-footed in a fight. Further, the Rocket Ram isn’t something you can spam. It has a 24-25 second cooldown, and you only have 10 charges before it’s out. So while it’s very useful, it’s not meant to be your main mode of travel all game.
