Is Sigewinne Good in Genshin Impact? How This Melusine Fits Into the Meta

More of a healer than powerhouse.

Every now and then, Genshin Impact drops a character that sparks endless debates. One such inclusion to the roaster is Sigewinne, a five-star Hydro bow user from Fontaine who doubles as a Melusine nurse and a walking ball of wholesomeness. But the question is: Is Sigewinne actually good enough to consider?

Some players love her for her strong healing, low-maintenance playstyle, and synergy with some characters like Furina. Others think she is one of the worst five-star characters, who lacks competitive damage and strong elemental application. So, where does the truth lie? Is she an underrated power, or just another niche character with limited use? Here, we will talk about her kit, meta viability, best teams, and whether pulling for her is worth your Primogems.

Who is Sigewinne in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact Sigewinne

Sigewinne is a 5-star Hydro bow character introduced in Fontaine. She is part of the Melusine race, aquatic beings known for their odd but endearing appearances. However, unlike most Melusines, Sigewinne looks mostly human, which probably helps her social life. She works as the head nurse of the Fortress of Meropide, taking care of inmates and ensuring they don’t die from their poor life choices. Her personality is as cheerful as her playstyle—focused on healing and supporting teammates while adding some damage on the side.

Sigewinne is not a traditional healer, her kit revolves around:

  • Elemental Skill: Rebound Hydrotherapy – She fires a bouncing Hydro bubble that heals allies as it bounces while also trapping and damaging lightweight enemies all based on her maximum HP.
  • Elemental Burst: Super Saturated Syringing – She launches a syringe attack that deals AoE Hydro damage based on her Max HP and absorbs two Sourcewater Droplets for additional effects. But it only happens within a specific range.
  • Passive Talents: She provides off-field buffs for characters who deal damage using Elemental Skills. So, she has good value in teams with characters like Furina, Navia, and Neuvillette.

Is Sigewinne Good? Her Strengths and Weaknesses

Sigewinne is the healer for players who hate babysitting their team’s HP. Her skill isn’t flashy, she tosses a bouncing bubble that smacks enemies while instantly topping up your entire party’s health. No energy costs, no waiting for a burst, and no need to plant your characters in a healing zone. During situations in Fontaine’s sketchy underwater trenches or sweating through Spiral Abyss floors, she works as a first-aid kit giving the whole part a good support.

Pairing her with Furina is a genius move. Furina’s damage buffs rely on team-wide HP fluctuations, and Sigewinne’s constant healing keeps the Fanfare stacks rolling in without you to do anything extra. No need to micromanage rotations—Sigewinne does the heavy lifting so Furina can focus on dishing out massive damage boosts. Further, unlike Bennett (who needs his burst charged) or Kokomi (who ties healing to a stationary jellyfish), Sigewinne’s skill works instantly. No energy management, no standing in circles. Simply tap, heal, and keep running through dragons, puzzles, or whatever Teyvat throws at you.

Sigewinne’s passive buffs off-field teammates’ skill damage. Characters such as Yae Miko (whose turrets keep attacking) or Navia (with her cannon setups) get a nice rise in damage. It’s not game-breaking, but it turns Sigewinne into more than just a heal bot—so, she is a subtle damage dealer’s sidekick in Genshin Impact.

But she’s not perfect and that much great in many angles. In Spiral Abyss speed runs or hyper-optimized teams, healers like Baizhu or Kokomi are better as they offer shields, crowd control, or nonstop Hydro application. But Sigewinne? She is only a healer and a decent buffer. If your strategy relies on reactions including Vaporize or Hyperbloom, her Hydro application is too slow. These bouncy bubbles look interesting, but they won’t keep enemies wet for your Pyro DPS to explode.

Her skill’s 18-second cooldown also hurts. If your team is getting pummeled nonstop, you’ll feel that downtime. Jean or Kokomi can spam healing; you have to wait if it is Sigewinne. And while her off-field buff is good to appreciate, it only triggers 10 times before vanishing. It is great for quick rotations, but terrible for drawn-out fights.

Best Team Compositions for Sigewinne

Despite her flaws, Sigewinne is helpful in the right team compositions. Here are the best teams to maximize her potential:

Sigewinne + Furina Core Team (Best Overall Team)

  • Sigewinne (Healer + Buffer)
  • Furina (Hydro Sub-DPS + Buffs)
  • Navia (Main DPS)
  • Clorinde/Chiori/Albedo (Sub-DPS)

Furina’s damage scales with healing, and Sigewinne gives strong team-wide healing. Navia benefits from Hydro Crystallize shields, improving her DPS uptime.

Budget Sigewinne Team (4-Star Team)

  • Sigewinne (Healer + Buffer)
  • Xingqiu/Fischl (Sub-DPS)
  • Sucrose (Swirl Support)
  • Xiangling/Beidou (Main DPS)

This team combo allows for Hydro Resonance, extra buffs, and good off-field damage. It works well in the overworld and mid-Abyss floors.

Neuvillette Hydro Team

  • Sigewinne (Healer)
  • Neuvillette (Main DPS)
  • Kazuha (Hydro Swirl + Crowd Control)
  • Furina (Sub-DPS + Buffs)

Neuvillette uses Sourcewater Droplets for damage and Sigewinne generates them. Hydro Resonance levels up HP scaling which increases Neuvillette’s damage.

Sigewinne is not a must-pull character, but she has a specialty in comfort and healing. She’s fantastic for Furina teams, overworld exploration, and low-maintenance playstyle. But she is not a meta pick. If you want raw power, utility, or high DPS, you’re better off with more versatile characters. So, pull for Sigewinne if you love her design and playstyle—not because you expect her to dominate the Spiral Abyss.
