Is Starfield Coming to PS5?
Sadly, Starfield will not be released on PlayStation 5. Unlike the ubiquitous Skyrim that you can probably play on your toaster by now, Starfield is taking a more exclusive route. At launch, it’s only coming to Xbox Series X/S and Windows PCs.
Even though Bethesda games are usually available on every major platform but this time, things are different. Remember, Microsoft now owns Bethesda, and we all know there’s a some tiff between Xbox and PlayStation. So, don’t expect a PS5 release any time soon.
What Does this Mean for the Future?
It’s a tricky one to call. This could set the stage for future Bethesda games to snub PlayStation altogether. We might be looking at a future where Bethesda titles are only reserved for Xbox and PC, with maybe the odd Nintendo Switch release sprinkled in.
