Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Max Level Cap Explained

Here's how much you can level up your main level and increase your stats/skills in KCD 2.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t pull any punches, it’s one of the tough RPGs where you live out the life of a medieval underdog trying to carve his path through the gritty world of Bohemia. Every fight, every conversation, every sneaky pickpocket attempt feeds into Henry’s growth as a character increasing the level and stats. If you’re clashing swords in a muddy training yard or talking to a local merchant, you’re steadily leveling up your stats and unlocking perks.

Starting the game with the injured Henry is not an easy thing as anyone can smash you down at that time. But like any good role-playing game, there’s a limit to how far you can push Henry’s abilities in KCD 2. No matter how much you grind or how many ale-soaked nights you survive, there’s a ceiling on how overpowered you can make him and that’s the max level cap. In this guide, we will explain what that level cap is, and how it’ll affect your journey across Bohemia.

Max Level Cap in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Max Level Cap in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is 30

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the max level cap is 30. That’s for everything. Henry’s main character level caps at the maximum of this level, and so does every individual stat and skill. So if you are increasing Strength to swing heavy axes, refining your Speech to talk your way out of duels or persuade/convince someone, or leveling niche skills like Drinking or Scholarship, you’re looking at level 30 as the ceiling. Even though it’s limited but for the veterans, this is a jump from the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which has a max level of 20.

How Leveling Works in KCD 2

Leveling in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sticks to the hardcore, intense RPG formula we know and love – learning by doing. Your main level increases as you complete quests and your stats (Strength, Agility, Vitality, Speech) increase. As you progress through the game and complete the quests along the way, especially the main quests, it will earn you experience points at every point and that also increases the main level. So either focus on skills or normally get through the KCD 2’s storyline, your level will increase naturally. You can see all the stats and your current level in the Player section of the game. Select any skill to find out the details of that specific stat.

To raise Strength, you can brawl in the training yard, carry heavy gear, or just straight-up be over-encumbered all the time. For Agility, you’ll want to get handy with your bow, dodge around in fights, or go nuts on parkour. Vitality goes up when you take hits, jog long distances, or, again, focus on the loot. Speech’s stats level up as you engage in conversations and negotiations—talk the talk till you’re the most persuasive dude in Bohemia. But it depends on your skills as it’s not easy to convince or persuade many NPCs as you go your way through the storyline.

As already mentioned, the skills and stats also have the same max level cap. So, whether it’s combat-focused like Swords or Warfare, practical like Survival and Craftsmanship, or a fun type such as Drinking, there are different activities to boost every skill. Swordsmanship levels up by fighting with swords and Thievery raises when you pick pockets and unlock chests with lockpicking. If Drinking’s your thing, chug alcohol or sip on booze-based potions. For Scholarship, bury your head in books and scrolls, and for Survival, it goes up by gathering herbs, hunting wildlife, and surviving for the next challenge to take on.

While some perks and potions can give you a temporary edge, nothing will push your stats beyond that hard level 30 cap. Don’t forget to spend the perk points as you go, each level up gives you good perks that can tailor Henry to your playstyle. For better stamina regen or sharper haggling skills, perks can be of great help.
