The post Clix Net Worth 2024 Revealed: How Rich is Cody Conrod? appeared first on GamesRecon: Video Games News, Guides & Reviews.

]]>
Are you curious about Clix’s net worth in 2024? We have got you covered. Cody Conrod, the real name behind publically known Clix, is living the dream that many of us gamers fantasize about while missing headshots in Fortnite. He has not only made a name for himself in the competitive gaming industry but has earned a lot of money while doing it. This article explains how rich this Fortnite prodigy really is and why his story is one heck of a ride.

Who is Clix (Cody Conrod)?

Clix Cody Conrod Streamer Fortnite Player

Clix is a professional gamer and Twitch & YouTube streamer who exploded onto the eSports scene with his mad Fortnite skills. Born in 2005 in Connecticut (yes, that makes him a Gen Z gaming sensation), Clix is one of those rare talents who turned his gaming passion into a professional career. We’re not discussing a few bucks here and there—Clix is rolling in the kind of dough that would make a lot of us rethink our life choices.

What is Clix Net Worth in 2024?

Clix’s net worth in 2024 is reported to be about $27 million. Yes, you read that right. And if you do a double-take because some sources have thrown out numbers like $2.2 million—don’t worry, you’re not alone. There’s been some back-and-forth about how much earnings does Clix have or how much this gaming superstar is worth. But Clix himself cleared things up in a recent stream, casually mentioning that he’s worth more than $27 million.

Where Does Clix’s Earnings Come From?

Clix Net Worth Reveal

But where’s all this cash coming from? Let’s break it down:

Clix Earnings from Fortnite

Clix didn’t get famous overnight—he earned his stripes by competing in Fortnite tournaments, and the money followed. His big break came when he qualified for the Fortnite World Cup back in 2019. He has since participated in over Fortnite tournaments, currently earned $504 325 according to Esports Charts.

Clix Earnings from Twitch

If you thought playing video games couldn’t pay the bills, think again. As of now, Clix has amassed over 7.8 million followers on Twitch, and his streams bring in anywhere from $70,000 to $100,000 a month. With Twitch being the go-to streaming platform for gaming content, Clix’s dedicated fanbase keeps the dollars rolling in. Some estimates even suggest his earnings could be higher, but when you’re making six figures a month, who’s counting if it’s more or less?

Clix Earnings from YouTube

Of course, Clix isn’t just relying on Twitch for his fortune. His YouTube channel has 3.14 million subscribers at the time of writing and is another major source of income. With a steady stream of viewers tuning in to watch him into action in Fortnite battlefield and other content, Clix is expected to earn around $200,000 annually just from YouTube that’s of course from the ads, sponsors, and super chats. It’s not too shabby for a guy who probably started out just posting highlight reels for fun.

Brand Deals and Sponsorships

Clix’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed by big brands either and it’s obvious for any famous person. Companies like NRG Esports, JBL, and MSI have assigned him as a Brand Ambassador. Moreover, he’s co-owner of XSET, an eSports and lifestyle organization, which gives him a new stream of income as both a player and an entrepreneur. When you’re gaming at this level, the sponsorships alone can be enough to make you a millionaire.

On top of all that, Clix has made it onto the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for gamers in 2024, which is the mic drop of financial success for someone his age. To add more, he has also collaborated with VaynerSports, a sports management company, which results in more good deals.

Keeping It Real (Mostly)

Despite the millions in the bank, Clix has managed to keep a low profile when it comes to his personal life. Sure, he’s had a few controversies along the way—like that time Twitch hit him with a temporary ban in 2021 at the claim of misbehavior. But who hasn’t had a little online drama? It comes with the territory. The good news is Clix isn’t someone to get caught up in scandals. He’s focused on what he does best—gaming—and has mostly stayed away from the wild side of internet fame.

Moreover, Clix has also shown a charitable side. Over the years, he has been involved in many charity streams and other such events, raising money for different purposes. So while he’s living the gamer’s dream, Clix hasn’t forgotten to use his platform to do some good. Not every 19-year-old millionaire takes time to give back, so props to him for that.

Final Thoughts

Clix’s future is looking shinier than that legendary loot drop you’ve been chasing. With a total of $27 million in the bank and absolutely no signs of slowing down, this guy is crushing it. Whether he’s owning Fortnite lobbies, entertaining his millions of followers on Twitch and YouTube, or locking in great brand deals, Clix is living proof that yes, gaming can pay off. So, if you’re grinding away in Fortnite hoping to hit the big leagues, remember: Clix was once in your shoes, and now he’s on top of the world.

The post Best PC Graphics Settings in Black Ops 6 for Maximum FPS & Reduced Lag appeared first on GamesRecon: Video Games News, Guides & Reviews.

]]>
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta has finally arrived and the best thing is it arrived for PC and consoles at the same time ever in CoD franchise history. If want to make sure your PC can keep up with BO6’s intense battles, you’re in the right place. I’m here to help you get the best maximum FPS possible so you can stay competitive without your game turning into a slideshow.

Best Black Ops 6 PC Graphics Settings for Smooth Performance

These PC settings for BO6 will help you keep your cool and stay ahead of the competition—because no one likes lag, especially when you’re one kill away from a Nuke. Whether running on a low-end potato or a high-end gaming rig, these settings will give you the edge you need.

Display Settings: Maximize Performance

Your display settings are the foundation of good performance. Start with these to set the stage:

Setting Option
Display Mode Fullscreen Exclusive
Display Monitor Primary gaming monitor
Display Adapter Your graphics card
Screen Refresh Rate Max monitor supported (e.g., 144Hz)
Display Resolution Native resolution (e.g., 1920×1080)
Dynamic Resolution Off
Aspect Ratio Automatic
Display Gamma 2.2 (sRGB)
Brightness 50-55
NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency On + Boost
Eco Mode Preset Custom or set to Efficiency
V-Sync (Gameplay) Off
V-Sync (Menus) Off
Custom Framerate Limit Custom
Gameplay Custom Framerate Limit Match monitor’s refresh rate (e.g., 144)
Menu Custom Framerate Limit 60
Minimized Game Custom Framerate Limit 15
Focused Mode Off
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Off

Quick Tip: Fullscreen Exclusive mode gives you better performance and less input lag. It’s the way to go if you want those crisp headshots.

Quality Settings: Strike a Balance

Graphics quality is where the magic happens—or where your FPS goes to die. Let’s find the sweet spot to adjust the options.

Setting Option (Low-end PC) Option (High-end PC)
Graphic Preset Custom Custom
Render Resolution 100 100
Dynamic Resolution Off Off
Upscaling / Sharpening FidelityFX CAS or Off for lag issue FidelityFX CAS
VRAM Scale Target 90 75
Variable Rate Shading Off ON
Texture Resolution Low Normal or High
Texture Filter Anisotropic Normal Normal or High
Depth of Field Off Off
Detail Quality Level Low Normal
Particle Resolution Very Low Low / Normal
Bullet Impacts On On
Persistent Effects Off On
Shader Quality Low Medium
On-Demand Texture Streaming Minimal Minimal
Allocated Texture Cache Size 16 16

Pro Tip: Setting Texture Resolution to Normal on a mid-tier to high-end PC is better for good visual fidelity without hurting your frame rates too much – it’s a nice trade-off.

Shadows & Lighting: Keep it Simple

Shadows and lighting effects can look great but are notorious FPS hogs. Here’s what you should do:

Setting Option
Shadow Quality Low
Screen Space Shadows Off
Ambient Occlusion Off
Screen Space Reflections Off
Static Reflection Quality Low (High-end PC: High)

Pro Tip: Shadows and reflections can eat up BO6 FPS like they’re at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Keep them low unless you’re on top-of-the-line hardware and care about the look.

Environment: Less Eye Candy, More Performance

Keep these settings low to ensure a smooth playthrough during the complex demanding firefights:

Setting Option
Tessellation Off
Volumetric Quality Low or Medium for high-end PC
Deferred Physics Quality Off
Weather Grid Volumes Off
Water Quality Off

Fun Fact: You won’t be swimming in BO6, so why worry about water quality? Keep it off and save those precious frames for when it counts!

View Settings: See More, Move Better

Field of View (FOV) is one of the most personal settings in a shooter game. Adjust it to your liking, but here’s what I recommend:

Setting Option
Field of View (FOV) 105-110
ADS Field of View Affected
Weapon Field of View Wide or Default
3rd Person Field of View 90
Vehicle Field of View Default or Wide

Quick Note: A wider FOV can give you a better view of your surroundings but can slightly reduce the frames per second. Find the balance that works for you.

Camera and Motion Settings: Keep it Steady

No one likes unnecessary blur. These settings are to render clear and crisp visuals:

Setting Option
World Motion Blur Off
Weapon Motion Blur Off (ON for high-end PC)
Film Grain 0.00
1st Person Camera Movement Least (50%)
3rd Person Camera Movement Least (50%)
Inverted Flashbang On (Preference)

Pro Tip: Turning off motion blur and film grain helps you see enemies more clearly, which is key in a fast-paced game like Black Ops 6.

There you have it—the best PC graphics settings for Black Ops 6 to maximize your FPS and keep your gameplay smooth. Whether you’re dodging bullets, smashing windows, or pulling off insane multi-kills, these BO6 graphics settings for PC will help you remain cool with a high fps count. Remember, feel free to tweak them based on your gaming PC and preferences. Now, go out there, crush your enemies, and most importantly, have fun.

A Rare Fortnite Skin Returns to the Shop After a Long Time https://www.gamesrecon.com/a-rare-fortnite-skin-returns-to-the-shop-after-a-long-time Mon, 26 Aug 2024 21:37:37 +0000 https://www.gamesrecon.com/?p=15689 One of the most desired skins bundle is now available in the Fortnite items shop.

The post A Rare Fortnite Skin Returns to the Shop After a Long Time appeared first on GamesRecon: Video Games News, Guides & Reviews.

]]>
After what feels like forever (over one and a half years), the Mogul Master skins have finally skied their way back into the Fortnite item shop. I can practically hear the cheers of seasoned Fortnite players from here, and yes, I’m one of the people cheering. If you previously missed the bundle and have been eyeing these skins since they disappeared, now’s your chance to obtain them before they run away again.

In Fortnite, the Mogul Master skins are iconic thanks to their bright, colorful skiing outfit designs that scream, “I’m here to conquer both the slopes and the battlefield!” They come in both male and female versions, with each skin sporting a specific country’s flag kinda like a mini Olympic team right in your Fortnite lobby. For those of you who want the full collection, you can pick up every single skin for 1,500 V-bucks, or if you’re a V-buck-saving expert like me and have enough currency in your account, get your hands on the whole bundle for 2,100 V-bucks.

Related:

If you’ve spent more time in Fortnite than in actual real-life snow, you know how the item shop works in this battle royale. Skins come and go very quickly, the item shop rotates continousely, so these rare goodies don’t stick around for long. And when it comes to skins like Mogul Masters that haven’t been seen for 500 days, you can bet they’re gonna be gone in a flash.

MOGUL MASTERS RETURNED AFTER 500 DAYS!! 🔥

Use Code “Shiina” to support me, thank you! ❤ pic.twitter.com/4U7Q7wSN1v

— Shiina (@ShiinaBR) August 25, 2024

The return of the Mogul Master skins bundle was confirmed by ShiinaBR, our trusty Fortnite leaker, who dropped the news in his tweet on X (formerly Twitter). The post had players hyped, with screenshots showing the return of these beloved skins and their awesome back blings – skis that sit on your character’s back.

Sure, many players were scratching their heads about why winter skins are making a comeback while it’s still technically summer. But who cares? It’s Fortnite where seasons don’t matter, and we’re just as likely to be building snowmen as we are sandcastles. Moreover, their unique designs make these skins stand out in any season. On first introduction in Fortnite, these skins won a lot of hearts worldwide and since have always been popular because nothing says “victory royale” quite like sporting your country’s flag while taking down enemies.

Related:

Definitely, Fortnite has a habit of making us pine after rare skins. They act as limited-edition action figures – you just never know when they’ll return, if ever. Many skins are lost to the vaults of time, making the return of Mogul Masters even more special. So, if you’ve been saving up the V-bucks for special investments or debating what to spend them on, I think this bundle is worth your saved in-game money.

Star Wars Outlaws Might Succeed Where Others Star Wars Games Failed https://www.gamesrecon.com/star-wars-outlaws-might-succeed-where-others-star-wars-games-failed Sat, 24 Aug 2024 23:57:18 +0000 https://www.gamesrecon.com/?p=15666 Star Wars Outlaws might be the gritty adventure we need from the series.

The post Star Wars Outlaws Might Succeed Where Others Star Wars Games Failed appeared first on GamesRecon: Video Games News, Guides & Reviews.

]]>
Star Wars is a galaxy far, far away, yet somehow feels like it’s just around the corner with every new game release. But not all of those releases have hit the mark. However, something tells me that Star Wars Outlaws could be the game we’ve been waiting for, especially for those of us who prefer our heroes a bit more… morally ambiguous.

I’ve played my fair share of Star Wars lineup games where I’ve swung lightsabers and done the whole hero gig as saving the galaxy, turning down the dark side—classic Jedi stuff. But to be honest, playing the goody-two-shoes can get a tad bit boring. So, with the latest Star Wars Outlaws just around the corner, it feels that the developers might finally get the memo: some of us want to delve into the grittier side of the galaxy.

Over the years, we’ve seen a slew of titles trying to explore the Star Wars underworld. Star Wars: Bounty Hunter tried to give us a taste of the dark side (not that Dark Side) by putting us in the boots of Jango Fett. But, let’s just say it wasn’t the Boba Fett experience we dreamed of—it felt more like Boba Fett Lite, diet version.

Then there was the infamous Star Wars: 1313, which happened to be going to be the gritty Star Wars game to end all gritty Star Wars games, especially with its E3 demo that dropped jaws and seemed Uncharted meets the underworld! Yet, in a twist of fate that was more dramatic than Anakin’s turn to the dark side, the game was canceled thanks to corporate shuffles and whatnot.

Fast forward a bit, and we had the promise of Project Ragtag, another venture into the criminal underbelly of Star Wars. It was spearheaded by none other than an Uncharted series alum, which gave us all hope. But it too got lost in the Sarlacc pit of canceled projects. I guess the Force just wasn’t with those releases.

After a parade of almosts and what-ifs, along comes Star Wars Outlaws, swinging into the fray like Han Solo in the nick of time. It promises an open-world adventure where you can play as Kay Vess, a smuggler who’s probably done more shady deals before breakfast than I’ve had hot dinners, and it looks like they might deliver this time.

Kay Vess will be dealing with cartels, and Imperial officers, and hanging out with a crew that includes a droid who’s more about comic relief. They may have taken a pinch of GTA, a dash of Ubisoft’s open-world magic, and sprinkled it all in a galaxy far, far away. It may be true as it’s the same Ubisoft playing its publisher role on this project in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

Star Wars Outlaws seems poised to give us that walk on the wild side we’ve been craving. It’s set in the more worn-down corners of the Star Wars universe, the places where you’d clutch your wallet a little tighter. Further, it’s the time when the galaxy’s scum and villainy need their moment in the spotlight—Jedi and Sith can’t have all the fun, right?

Here’s hoping that Star Wars Outlaws not only lives up to its promises but presents a standard for what a Star Wars game can be. Because if there’s one thing this galaxy needs, it’s a little less sanctimony and a lot more skullduggery. Maybe this time, the Force will be with us, showing us that the best stories might come from the galaxy’s underbelly, where the blasters are loaded, the stakes are high, and the heroes are anything but clean.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Gauntlet of Shar Will Give You More Trouble to Complete the Trails https://www.gamesrecon.com/baldurs-gate-3-gauntlet-of-shar-will-give-you-more-trouble-to-complete-the-trails Sat, 24 Aug 2024 21:05:53 +0000 https://www.gamesrecon.com/?p=15662 The Leap of Faith trial is getting much more trickier.

The post Baldur’s Gate 3 Gauntlet of Shar Will Give You More Trouble to Complete the Trails appeared first on GamesRecon: Video Games News, Guides & Reviews.

]]>
If you’ve tackled Gaunlet of Shar part of Baldur’s Gate 3, you know it’s no stroll through the park and it’s about to get even tougher. Larian Studios just rolled out some adjustments that will make the Leap of Faith trial even more of a challenge. Thanks, Larian, I really needed my life to be harder. The Gauntlet in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a major story element, and it’s closely tied to one of the game’s standout characters, Shadowheart. No matter you have started Shadowheart’s quest being her companion or not, getting through the Gauntlet of Shar is a must in the storyline in Act 2.

You’ll have to face three trials: the Faith-Leap Trial, the Self-Same Trial, and the Soft-Step Trial. Each one is a mix of puzzle-solving, a pinch of luck, and maybe a little bit of swearing at your screen. But if you make it through, you get rewarded with serious story development, and if Shadowheart is in your crew, you will get to learn about her. While these trials aren’t the hardest challenges in the game, we clever gamers have been finding ways to bend the rules and take some sneaky shortcuts. Cue the drama: there’s a change afoot, and it’s got some of us a bit on edge.

A Reddit user, alyssaryn, recently dropped a bombshell with an image detailing an update to Faith-Leap Trial. The developers have caught onto our little shortcut—where you could just click on the final platform and let your characters find their path to get past the challenges. Their official word? It was a “divine intervention” from the Goddess Shar herself. Got to appreciate their sense of humor, right?

NOOO I am way too stupid to beat this as intended 😂
byu/alyssaryn inBaldursGate3

This change caught some of us by surprise (and by “some of us,” I mean all of us who love a good cheese method). The comments on that Reddit post were filled with disbelief. Some folks are scratching their heads, wondering how we ever lived without this trick. Others are sharing alternative strategies to dance around the devs’ new hurdles.

There’s a bit of an uproar on Reddit, though. But while some of us are mourning the loss of this easy path, others argue that the Faith-Leap Trial was never meant to be easy. A lot feel that removing a clever workaround is a bit of a party foul on Larian Studios’ part. Creativity is the lifeblood of Baldur’s Gate audience! By eliminating one method, it seems the team has forgotten why this RPG is such fun: the sheer thrill of bending the rules without breaking the game.

It’s very important to keep the game balanced, especially when we are talking about a massive RPG like BG3. But there’s a fine line between fixing bugs and killing creativity that’s what makes this game so special. It’s that creative freedom that keeps us coming back for more, finding new ways to approach old problems. So, while it’s sad to see one of our favorite shortcuts closed off, I’m optimistic there are still plenty of inventive tricks to find out. After all, where there’s a will (and a clever spell combo), there’s always a way!

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 kicked off on August 16, 2024, and it’s already bringing the heat. — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) August 19, 2024

These dates have been skillfully uncovered by data miners—think of them as Fortnite’s very own Indiana Jones who dig up update schedules. One of the most reliable leakers, ShiinaBR, has already given us the inside details, so you can trust these dates like you trust your favorite landing spot.

What to Expect in the Next Update?

You may wonder and you should: “But what’s actually in the update?” While Epic Games likes to play their cards close to their chest, a few things have slipped through the cracks. Given that we’re in the thick of a Marvel-themed season, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to expect more superhero antics. There’s even some rumor that the Fantastic Four might make an appearance, although rumor has it they might be a little worse for wear after a run-in with Doctor Doom.

These update patches don’t just fix bugs or keep the game running smoothly—they bring in new quests, balance the weapons (because we all know that one guy who’s just a little too good with the new shotgun), and keep the gameplay as exciting and unique. So, that’s all for now but will update the post if these dates have any changes.

As a dedicated Baldur’s Gate 3 player, I’ve spent countless hours exploring every nook and cranny of Faerûn, battling mind flayers, and, honestly, sometimes just seeing how much chaos I can cause. But after a year of adventuring, Larian Studios has decided to treat us to something truly special—new evil endings especially created for those of us who enjoy letting our darker impulses run wild.

While there won’t be any major DLC expansions coming (much to the disappointment of my inventory full of hoarded potions), the team hasn’t stopped releasing the update patches by making adjustments and refining the game and these updates are anything but minor. The latest one, slated to drop this September, adds a few new endings that will satisfy those who’ve embraced the darker paths in their playthroughs.

Father would be so proud.

Embrace your destiny and feast your eyes on a new evil ending cinematic teaser for the Dark Urge, landing this September 👇

Warning: contains spoilers! pic.twitter.com/1TkwDGqyle

— Baldur’s Gate 3 (@baldursgate3) August 19, 2024

The teasers Larian has released on Twitter have me more excited than a goblin in a loot-filled dungeon. One clip, in particular, caught my eye—featuring the Dark Urge, a unique origin character that’s been an absolute blast to play. In this new ending, the Dark Urge doesn’t only make bad decisions; he curses his companions to a fate so twisted that I can’t help but grin at the thought of it.

For those of us who love to explore every moral crevice in the game, these BG3 endings are a wicked treat. Sure, I’ve had fun redeeming Astarion, having a soft relationship with Karlach, and turning Shadowheart into a paragon of good, but sometimes, you just want to watch the world—and your party—smashed. And Larian gets that – they really do.

However, if you’re more of a traditionalist who prefers to create your own character—good old Tav—don’t worry, you’re not left out of the wicked fun. Tav may not have the dark history of the Dark Urge, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wreak havoc just for the sheer love of chaos. So Baldur’s Gate 3 is giving us all a big, evil hug and saying, “Go on, ruin everything. You know you want to.”

If you decided happily ever after wasn’t for you, there’s an assortment of evil ending cinematics new to Baldur’s Gate 3, arriving with Patch 7.

Here’s another sneak peek! Beware, some spoilers ahead! pic.twitter.com/1Z51dOnL2D

— Baldur’s Gate 3 (@baldursgate3) August 14, 2024

It’s great to watch how Larian has kept polishing BG3 even after the one year of release. In the main storyline, we have to betray tieflings at the Emerald Grove to recruit Minthara to the party, that was a tough pill to swallow, especially if you were trying to play the hero. But thanks to some clever updates, now even goody-two-shoes players can make her companion even in Act 2 without being a total jerk.

This tweak is good for players who love a more nuanced playthrough. I mean, why not have your cake and eat it too, right? But, I have to admit, I’m still crossing my fingers for the day when they let us pursue a forbidden romance with Gortash. Because who doesn’t love a little “bad boy with a heart of gold” storyline? Until then, I’ll just keep daydreaming and trying these new evil endings. After all, there’s nothing quite like putting a beautifully wicked bow on one of the best role-playing experiences we have.

It hints that HoYoverse is dipping its toes into the more realistic waters of typical AAA games.

While this posting isn’t exactly explaining about HoYoverse’s exact plans, it’s a big clue. And there’s more on the horizon. Another project, rumored to be called Astaweave Heaven, seems to be brewing, and it’s pitched as a Stardew Valley-esque farming delight. But, the new job posting is totally unrelated. That means HoYoverse might be juggling at least two new games.

As for this mystery game with a realistic art style, details are thinner than a pixel, but by connecting the dots, it’s clear HoYoverse wants to veer off from its usual path. Don’t expect another open world like Genshin, a turn-based RPG like HSR, or an action like ZZZ. And while the studio’s been pretty cozy with the gacha system, this new genre shift might be the sign of a fresh start from the company.

There are some big changes in Roblox to roll out on August 7, 2024, and it’s causing quite a hype and concerns from fans across social media networks. The talk of discussions is about Roblox’s upcoming modifications including updated privacy policies and the addition of new tools for creators. But not everyone is jumping for joy over these announcements.

The first main latest change is the revamped Privacy Policy of Roblox. Starting August 7, Roblox will allow the company to buy, share, and use player data for advertising. That means your gameplay details could be used to pitch ads your way. This update was first flagged to users back on July 1, and now it’s ready to go live.

The idea of using game data for advertisement has ruffled many feathers, especially among parents. They’re especially worried that this can lead to targeted advertising toward kids. While Roblox assures that it follows all regulations and provides options for users to manage their data, the concerns are still loud and clear. And, just to note, this policy only affects players with 13+ age, so the younger crowd’s data is off the ad-targeting table.

On a brighter note, Roblox also includes Data Stores V2. This new feature will help developers manage data more efficiently. The highlight feature is the automatic backups. Now, every time something is changed or updated in the game, a backup of all objects is automatically created. This should be amazing for creators who want to save their hard work.

It doesn’t stop there as the Inspire 2024 event will also launch this August 7. Which runs as a virtual meet-up for creators, this is one of the greatest chances where all types would know about each other and get inspired. In addition, attendees will be able to play challenges for unique items (Space Cowboy Hat and Jacket of Inspiration).

While the new privacy tweak may seem like a bit of a bummer for many fans, Roblox isn’t exactly pulling punches when it comes to providing fresh tools and opportunities to its community.

Marvel Rivals Developers Responded to Twitch Code Drop Chaos https://www.gamesrecon.com/marvel-rivals-developers-responded-to-twitch-code-drop-chaos Fri, 26 Jul 2024 16:20:54 +0000 https://www.gamesrecon.com/?p=15048 Marvel Rivals scrambles to fix Twitch Drops issues after player backlash.

Marvel Rivals, the hero shooter bringing together Marvel’s finest, recently found itself in a bit of a bind. The game’s promise of exclusive closed beta codes through Twitch Drops seemed like a great idea—until it wasn’t. A massive number of players jumped online to get their access, only to meet with technical glitches and a whole lot of frustration.

The developer responded with a statement on X (formerly Twitter) talking about it. They admitted the system wasn’t ready and sputtered under superhero-sized community enthusiasm, leaving a lot of fans unable to claim their codes. The classic scenario of great intentions vs the harsh fact that is an internet traffic jam.

For now, the Marvel Rivals team has acted quickly in response to this outcry. Well, on the Twitch Drops side of things…First off – if you encountered an error, then they recommend revisiting the official Twitch Drops page. Further, the code system has been updated to include regional info so that PS5 players are no longer being sent XX (regionless) codes.

The next big topic the team hit upon was the limitation of daily codes. That daily quota reset is for real, and it means you don’t have to glue yourself onto another sixty-minute Twitch stream to only get another shot. Nevertheless, if the site crashes once again then players will have to wait another day to try their luck.

Player responses have been a mixed bag. Some shared their own workarounds on the apology post, like trying different browsers. But success varies, with one player showing off their failed attempt in a video, despite earlier grabbing a code that they couldn’t redeem in time.

And of course, there’s the larger problem of bots scooping up every code as soon as it drops — a sentiment apparently felt community-wide. A great number of players have themselves proposed stiffer anti-bot measures and some even say that extending to beta access or direct code distribution could be fair compensation.

The apology post turned into a lively forum as the devs worked on fixing things out. Players are sounding off, sharing stories, and providing advice. It shows that Marvel Rivals has many passionate fans who want the team to reflect their enthusiasm with stronger measures in order to keep them feeling like heroes and free from any hassle.
