How to Use These Specializations

  1. Backpack Expansion: You’re going to be lugging around so much junk that your inventory will constantly be full. Backpack Expansion lets you hoard without having to make the painful “What do I drop?” decisions.
  2. Spectral Cloak: Ever had a moment where you didn’t want to fight the overpowered enemy lurking around the corner? Equip on the Spectral Cloak and go full ghost mode for 120 seconds. Don’t expect special moments—you’ll need to run and hide instead of sticking around to combat.
  3. Portable Rainwater Collector: This specialization has you covered every time it rains, and there’s a chance to get acid too.
  4. Silver Plasma Missiles: When one missile isn’t enough to defeat the horde, its splash damage is suitable for turning a crowd of enemies into a distant memory.
  5. Harvesting Sickle: This specialization is best if you prefer farming over fighting to speed up your crop yield.

While some specializations, like Backpack Expansion or Spectral Cloak, are must-haves for nearly every playstyle, the key is to adjust them as per your approach.

How to Equip Specializations

Specializations come in all shapes and sizes, from crafting buffs to battle perks. Some, like Photon Power for the Solar Generator, increase power output by 10 watts (useful if you’re running a generator-heavy base), while others, like Spectral Cloak, make you invisible (because sometimes, you only want to sneak past the powerful enemies without going into the fight).

Once you’ve picked your Specialization in Once Human, press the O key on the keyboard to open the Memetics Cradle menu, select Memetics, and click on the golden arrow pointing upwards in the top left of the screen to equip it.
