Pokemon Radical Red Cheats List

Every single Radical Red code to hack the game.

If you’ve dipped your toes into Pokémon ROM hacks, it would be a surprise if you don’t know Radical Red — a difficult reimagining of FireRed that includes mechanics from Gen 8, competitive AI, Mega Evolutions, Raid Battles, and more. But with that challenge comes a fair amount of grind and RNG frustration, and that’s where cheat codes come in.

Whether you’re playing on Visual Boy Advance (VBA), MyBoy!, or another emulator, you can use GameShark, CodeBreaker, or Action Replay cheats to gain advantages. Further, Pokémon Radical Red has its own set of in-game cheat codes, unlockable through TVs and NPCs. We’ll go through both.

How to Use Pokémon Radical Red Cheats with My Boy Emulator?

For Radical Red, follow these steps to enter cheats using the emulator:

  1. Open your emulator and load the Radical Red ROM.
  2. Access the cheats menu.
    • VBA: Cheats > Cheat List → Choose CodeBreaker or GameShark.
    • MyBoy! (Android): Menu > Cheats > New Cheat
  3. Enter your code and give it a name.
  4. Enable the cheat to make it active.

Don’t activate too many cheats at once, this can cause the game to crash or softlock.

In-Game Cheat Codes (No Emulator Required!)

Radical Red also has “official” cheats built into the game with no need to get help from emulators to make them effective.

NES Console Codes (Enter at TV in Pallet Town)

You can input the following codes by interacting with the TV in your home. Each can be used once per save, and they’re case-sensitive:

  • Woyaopp – Get infinite Rare Candies and Pomeg Berries. Talk to the youngster in Viridian City to receive them.
  • SO2Toxic – Enables care packages (items from all over Kanto). Saves farming or stealing.
  • DexAll – Your DexNav shows all Pokémon in the current route.
  • TeamPreview – Always see the entire opponent’s team during battle.
  • EZCatch – 100% catch rate for every wild Pokémon.

Mystery Gift Pokémon Codes

Once you’ve entered the Hall of Fame, talk to the nurse and use these codes. All Pokémon are Level 85, and the codes will never expire:

  • Random6 – Start with 6 random unevolved Pokémon
  • Puzzle – Automatically complete puzzle challenges
  • Mega – Unlock all Mega Stones + Mega Evolution

Type-Specific “Random6” Codes

These codes give you 6 unevolved or single-stage Pokémon based on a specific type. You can only redeem one of these per save file:

  • Normal = Normal
  • Fire = Fire
  • Water = Water
  • Grass = Grass
  • Electric = Electric
  • Flying = Flying
  • Fighting = Fighting
  • Bug = Bug
  • Poison = Poison
  • Rock = Rock
  • Ground = Ground
  • Psychic = Psychic
  • Ghost = Ghost
  • Ice = Ice
  • Dragon = Dragon
  • Dark = Dark
  • Steel = Steel
  • Fairy = Fairy

Just type the name of the type when prompted in New Game+ mode, and you’ll get a team built around it.

Always save before activating multiple cheats. Some Pokémon Radical Red cheat codes can softlock if used at the wrong time (especially Walk Through Walls). Don’t overdo it — Radical Red is complex for a reason, and some challenge makes the game fun.
