The Zalissya Hall Door bug occurs in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl during the mission to defend Zalissya from Monolith attackers. After repelling the enemies, you may find that the town hall door remains locked even though NPCs are inside. This issue restricts you from accepting or completing main quests, blocking your progression through the STALKER 2.
Common causes for this problem include:
- Glitched NPC Behavior: NPCs may fail to trigger important events.
- Stuck Enemies: Monolith soldiers get stuck in inaccessible locations, leaving the quest incomplete.
- Script Errors: Quest objectives don’t update due to missteps in the mission flow.

How to Open the Zalissya Hall Door in STALKER 2
Here are some fixes to try to get through this annoying bug keeping you from continuing your journey:
Using UETools Mod for No-Clip Access
The best fix is using the UETools Mod available on Nexus Mods. This mod allows you to bypass the locked door buy. Follow these steps to install and use it:
- Install it by following the instructions provided with the mod.
- Open the in-game console by pressing the specific key (usually
~
orF1
). - Type
UETools_Ghost
to enable no-clip mode. - Walk through the locked door using no-clip. Find the Warlock and speak to him to trigger the quest. Exit the hall and type the command
UETools_Walk
to disable no-clip mode. - Use the command
UETools_Walk
to return to normal walking mode.
To permanently unlock the door, head to the bunker at Hamster spot and pay his bodyguard to accompany you back to the hall. This should unlock the door for the rest of the game.
Note: If Hamster or his bodyguard are dead, you can still proceed with the quest. Their deaths won’t affect mission progress as they require for only unlock.
Eliminate Monolith Soldiers
Sometimes the locked hall door can be triggered to unlock by dealing with closer enemies. Find Monolith soldiers near Zalissya often patrolling around the Sphere anomaly. On encounter, aggro (provoke) them by getting close or attacking from a distance. You need to lead enemies toward Zalissya without letting them wander too far. Kill them once they’re near the village, this tactic can result in the door’s locking mechanism resetting.

Fix NPC Behavior and Maintain Quest Flow
Completing objectives in the right given order. For example, Warlock will ask you to retrieve his weapon, a sniper rifle named Partner. Retrieve it from the marked location and decide whether to return it to him or keep it. Next, Gaffer will assign you to find out stashes. Complete these tasks to ensure that his dialogue triggers correctly. Finally, visit Hamster in the bunker and overcome the situation with his supplies by either paying his bodyguard or using non-violent negotiation tactics.
Remember, don’t trigger Gaffer’s main dialogue until all optional objectives are complete. Premature conversations can cause quest scripts to break, leaving the hall door locked. Do not leave the Zalissya location during the mission as it can reset progress or interfere with NPC behaviors.
Reload an Earlier Save File
Select a save from before the Zalissya mission begins. Usually, it should be before you receive the radio call to defend the village. Make sure to stay within the village during the mission to avoid resetting progress. Reloading an earlier save is inconvenient but often resolves persistent issues that can’t be fixed by other methods.
